Localization (Americanization/Anglicisation)
As many of the publishers I work for produce co-editions, I am used to working in both American or International English as well as British English, and can easily convert between the two.
This involves not only removing the 'u' from 'colour' but also being sensitive to the broader context - whether a place name or historic event needs additional explanation for a 'foreign' reader; converting measurements, currency and temperature where appropriate; and being aware of idioms and colloquialisms that might cause ambiguity or loss of sense.
